# Outreach Pack

# Outreach Pack

Outreach is one of four add-on packs, and it's what enables **Media Pitch** — sending a published story out to media and press contacts, with per-recipient tracking of whether they opened it. It's included free on Enterprise plans; Starter and Team plans don't include it by default, but it can be enabled on your account.

Without the pack, you'll still see the Media Pitch entry points in the app, but they're disabled with a note that the Outreach pack isn't on your plan.

## What it does

Media Pitch is genuinely outbound — your team reaching out to a contact — which is the opposite direction from inbound intake forms (covered in [Portals](../reference/portals.md)), where an outside person submits something to you. They both use the word "pitch," but they're unrelated features.

* **Compose** a pitch from a just-published card in Kanban's publish flow, or from the Contacts page, where you can pitch to one contact or several at once.
* **Sending** doesn't happen inside the app — it generates a personalized link for each recipient, and you click through to send it from your own mail client.
* Each recipient gets their own link to a live, read-only view of the story — if the story is edited later, whoever opens the link sees the current version, not a snapshot from when it was sent.
* Reopening the composer for a card you've already pitched shows you who's been sent a link and who's opened it — that view doubles as your status page.

## Connections to other features

Recipients come from your Contacts list. See [Media Pitch](../reference/media-pitch.md) for the full walkthrough and [Contacts](../reference/contacts.md) for where pitching starts from there.
