# Intelligence Pack

# Intelligence Pack

The Intelligence pack adds the **AEO Intelligence Engine** — scoring and monitoring your published pages for how well they perform as sources for AI answer engines. It's included free on Enterprise plans; Starter and Team plans don't include it by default, but it can be enabled on your account.

## Two different things share the name "Intelligence" — here's the difference

Strategy's header has an "Intelligence" button that's unrelated to this pack — it surfaces operational signals like stalled boards and slowing cycle times, and it's available regardless of whether you have this pack. The AEO Intelligence Engine described below lives in a different place: **Strategy → Performance tab → Web Pages**, inside a page's own detail view, under its "AEO Readiness" and "Citation Performance" sections.

## What AEO scoring does

Each published page is scored against a rubric by AI, checking things like:

* **Structural quality** (every page type) — whether the page leads with a direct answer, credits a named expert, makes concrete verifiable claims, signals freshness, has a verifiable author, is organized into clear single-topic sections, and links out to authoritative sources.
* **Content completeness** (tailored to the page type, most detailed for program pages) — cost and financial aid, career outcomes, application requirements and deadlines, program length, accreditation, student experience, contact info, curriculum, faculty, what makes the program distinctive, and what happens after applying.

Your score is reported as points earned out of points possible. If the scoring rubric changes, older and newer scores aren't compared directly against each other — you'd get a misleading result, so the comparison is skipped instead. There's also a separate, lighter check for unpublished drafts (checking things like direct-answer structure and content gaps) that you can run from the document editor while you're still writing.

## The citation battery

Once a week, tracked pages are automatically tested to see whether an AI answer engine actually cites them. For each page, a handful of realistic search queries are generated from its content, sent to an AI-powered search engine, and the results checked to see whether your page — specifically, and not just your site in general — gets cited, and where it ranks. You'll see the hit rate, how many queries were tested, when it last ran, and the detail behind each query in the page's Citation Performance view.

## Good to know

You can re-score a page on demand, though scoring is skipped if nothing's changed since the last run, and there's a cap on how often you can re-score the same page. A page that fails a check can automatically open (or update) a follow-up card on the linked board and notify whoever's assigned to it.

## Connections to other features

AEO and citation data are tied to tracked pages, which can link to a card in Kanban — a failing score's follow-up card shows up there. This shares a visual style with Strategy's workflow-intelligence panel and Campaigns' Intelligence tab, but not the underlying data. See [Strategy](../reference/strategy.md) and [Analytics](../reference/analytics.md) for where each one lives.
